Welcome Message from the President EAED and the Local Chairman:

Dear EAED Members, Affiliates, Colleagues & Friends,

After having an amazing 25th Anniversary meeting last June in Istanbul, Turkey is ready to welcome you once again, to another inspiring EAED Meeting, which will be held in Cesme, Izmir between 24th & 26th May 2012.
Sheraton Hotel Cesme will be hosting our group and will be entirely at EAED’s disposal during this period to preserve the spirit of the Academy, therefore we invite you all to stay in this beachfront, 5-star resort even though there are few other 4-star hotel options in the neighbourhood. The hotel offers a panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and it features a state-of-the-art spa; where you will have the chance to experience the therapeutic thermal baths besides diverse body treatments & relaxing massages.
Çeşme is a charming convergence of healing mineral springs, excellent beaches, crystal clear waters and sun. It is located 94 km west of İzmir, on the very tip of the peninsula that bears its name. It was called the 'little harbor' by sailors, but in the course of time, the area became known as Cesme, which means fountain, due to the increasing number of fountains with ice - cold waters. This pleasant seaside town will offer you a cosy stay away from the rush of the big metropol with its boutique bazaar, white sanded beaches and the examples of civil architecture in the historical sense.

We recommend you to arrange your schedule in order to come to Cesme on Tuesday night since it will be a great opportunity to make a full day pilgrimage to Efesus on Wednesday 23rd May before the meeting starts on Thursday 24th.

The speakers involved in the scientific program of EAED 2012, under the Title, "Lessons, we learned from our failures", will present their subjects, emphasizing their research studies and clinical work.

The registration for Cesme 2012 meeting will open on 10th October for the Academy members only, then on 10th November for the guests. As the number of the participants is limited to 350, we highly recommend you to make your on line registration at your earliest so as not to miss the chance to be a part of this special event which will be coloured by the welcome cocktail on the historical Cesme Castle , beach parties and an agreable gala dinner.
